Raukokore marae
Remember my East Cape road trip? The drive around the most easterly part of New Zealand that took me down empty roads, past deserted beaches and beautiful marae? Dreaming of doing it yourself? Wondering about an overview, a summary of the best of the best bits?
Then, check out my latest post, Escaping to the Cape over on TravelGumbo. Travel Gumbo is an award winning site all about travel and, best of all, it’s by travelers, for travelers.
While you’re there have a good look around, explore the world via your screen, and join in the fun. Maybe you can solve this week’s puzzle: Where in the World is TravelGumbo. They’ve got me flummoxed; I thought I knew but now I’m just confused. Better be quick though the big reveal happens in a few hours.

I’ve just been over to read your Travel Gumbo article. You have captured the spirit of the area and I’m sure it could create an influx of people looking for the quiet laid back destination.

I did a carving out of an old Totara sink top, i gave paua shell eyes it is out in our garden, minus one eye. I do not mind my pottery and attempts at art reminding me all things are subject to change. Regardless of our clinging. Keep posting Jill it is a link to ‘the green green grass’ I still feel at home with._/\_
