Introducing “Ben goes …”

It’s a New Year, I’m exploring a new, to me, part of Laos, which makes it time to introduce a new blogger. Yes, son number two has hit the blogosphere.  He’s quite a story teller, he’s told a few on me! (In case you don’t already know son number one and our daughter-in-law are already here.)

You’re unlikely to find a photo on his blog with the tip of the spire missing!

And he started his great OE by spending three weeks with his Dad and me in Laos. We had a blast. I think he did, too. He survived cooking school with me, bike-riding across paddy fields outside Vang Vieng and around Luang Prabang, and boat trips with us on the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers.

We learned a few things about each other during those three weeks. It turns out son number two is the master of the photo bomb – who knew.

John and I have another couple of weeks to explore Northern Laos. What better way to start that than by spending seven hours on a boat. More soon.
